Getting to Kukup

Most resorts will provide packages that include car services for you to get to Kukup. If you are travelling by car or by public transport, please refer to the tips below for you.

Public transport (Singapore to Kukup via Tuas second link)

Singapore > Singapore Custom > Malaysia Custom > Gelang Patah > Pontian Bus Terminal > Kukup

After completing the immigration procedures at the Malaysian checkpoint, take the bus CW4 to Gelang Patah. CW4 is also available from Jurong East MRT station or Boon Lay MRT station to get to the Singapore custom.

From Gelang Patah, take Causeway Link bus number 52T to Pontian bus terminal. In the front of the bus, it will clearly show it is going to Pontian.

From Pontian bus terminal, take Kembara City public bus to Kukup.

Public transport (Singapore to Kukup via Johor-Singapore causeway)

Singapore > Singapore Custom > Malaysia Custom > JB Larkin Bus Terminal > Pontian Bus Terminal > Kukup

There are a number of choices to get from Singapore to JB Larkin bus terminal. You can take bus 160, 170, 950, Singapore-Johore Express, Causeway Link CW1, Causeway Link CW2.

From Larkin bus terminal to Pontian bus terminal, it is recommended to take the Maju 96 directly to Pontian bus terminal. Kembara City 607 can also reach Pontian bus terminal but there are stops along the way.

From Pontian bus terminal, take Kembara City public bus to Kukup.

Driving (South to Kukup)

Singapore > Kukup

If you are traveling from Singapore follow the Second Link Expressway north, once passed the Malaysia checkpoint and entered the highway, take the first exit and follow the road signs to reach Kukup

Public Transport (Kuala Lumpur to Kukup)

Kuala Lumpur > Pontian > Kukup

There are several bus services to get from Kuala Lumpur to Pontian, most common is Mayang Sari and S&S International. There are several timings for the bus service daily.

During the festive season, it is recommended to pre-purchase the bus tickets to avoid any disappointment.

After arriving at the Pontian bus terminal, take Kembara City bus to Kukup.

Driving (Kuala Lumpur to Kukup)

Kuala Lumpur > Simpang Renggam EXIT > Benut > Kukup

From Kuala Lumpur travel south via the North-south expressway, exit the expressway from the Simpang Genggam exit and reach Benut.

Follow the south road to Pontian. Continue south from Pontian to Kukup.

  1. Traveling via Second Link is smoother and tends to save time.
  2. If traveling by public transport, it is recommended to ask the driver or staff on duty before boarding the vehicle to avoid boarding the wrong vehicle.
  3. Public transport is more time consuming and complicated, but the fare is cheaper
  4. If you drive to Kukup, you can park your car in one of the carparks. The carpark staff will help you can into Kukup in a small van from the carpark. Alternatively, it is a 15 mins walk to Kukup via the main road.
