Malaysia aims to be among world’s top 10 tourist destinations
Malaysia ranked 12th in 2017 and is working hard to rank in the top ten destinations in the world by 2019. There will be new strategies and directions to help drive tourism development.
The Internet is vital to the tourism industry. Even the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Tourism Malaysia Promotion Board use the Internet and social media for publicity. They encourage travel agencies and NGOs to use the Internet so that they can connect with each other and promote local tourism.
